Job Summary
A well-established secondary school in Crawley is seeking a reliable proactive and hardworking Caretaker to join their facilities team. This is a full-time permanent role starting ASAP providing essential support to ensure the school site is safe secure and well-maintained.
About the Role
As a Caretaker you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds. You will work closely with the Site Manager and wider facilities team to ensure the environment is safe welcoming and operational for staff students and visitors.
The role requires a hands-on approach with tasks including minor maintenance cleaning and assisting with the setup of school events. Attention to detail reliability and a proactive attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Daily inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness
Performing minor maintenance tasks including plumbing carpentry and general repairs
Assisting with health and safety compliance and reporting any issues promptly
Supporting room setups for lessons meetings and school events
Coordinating deliveries and waste management
Assisting the Site Manager with larger projects and site improvements

Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in a caretaking facilities or maintenance role desirable
