Job Summary
A well-established and busy secondary school in Romford is seeking a reliable proactive and hardworking Caretaker to join their facilities team. This is a full-time permanent role starting ASAP providing essential support to ensure the school site is safe secure and well-maintained.
About the Role
As a Caretaker you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds. Working closely with the Site Manager you will ensure the environment is safe functional and welcoming for students staff and visitors.
The role involves hands-on tasks including minor maintenance cleaning health and safety checks and assisting with school events. A proactive flexible and detail-oriented approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness
Perform minor maintenance tasks including carpentry plumbing and general repairs
Support health and safety compliance and report any hazards
Assist with room and hall setups for lessons meetings and school events
Coordinate deliveries waste management and equipment storage
Support larger site projects and renovations as required
