Job Summary

Job Title: Rust Software Engineer

Location: St. Louis MO (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

In-person interview.
We are supporting a team that is actively modernizing and rebuilding a core platform as part of a next-generation CaaS 3.0 initiative. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building performant scalable backend services using Rust.
This is not maintenance work this is foundational system development.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement backend services in Rust
Contribute to a platform rewrite emphasizing performance and reliability
Develop and maintain APIs and service integrations
Work within containerized and cloud-native architectures
Collaborate cross-functionally to shape system design decisions
Improve observability fault tolerance and system efficiency

Required Experience:

Proven experience developing in Rust (production experience preferred)
Strong backend engineering background (microservices distributed systems APIs)
Experience working with containerization (Docker)
Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP
Solid understanding of concurrency memory safety and performance tuning
Nice to Have:
Experience modernizing legacy systems
Event-driven architecture or async processing experience
CI/CD pipeline familiarity
