The post holder will play a key role in supporting the overall vision and strategic direction of Our Ladys Hospice & Care Services. He /She will be responsible for the management of Data Protection and FOI matters at OLH&CS and ensure that the organisation processes all data in compliance with applicable data protection rules. The successful candidate will liaise with OLH&CS key stakeholders to ensure all DP/FOI legislative and regulatory procedures are adhered to as well as ensuring there is consistency in discharging OLH&CS DP/FOI functions. He/ she will ensure that OLH&CS is following best practice in information Governance in a healthcare setting.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications:
- Leaving certificate / equivalent state examination
- Relevant Freedom of Information and Data Protection certification
Experience:
- Have at least three to five years relevant experience at a comparable role.
- Working in Information Governance or Data Protection.
- Proven experience of general office procedures.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent computing and data base skills and the ability to broaden computing experience with other packages.
- Excellent administration and organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deal with people in a compassionate and supportive manner with an emphasis on a high level of customer service.
- Ability to work on your own initiative/ problem solving and as part of a team
Desirable Requirements
Qualifications:
- Relevant Freedom of Information / Data Protection qualification or intention to gain relevant qualifications.
Other Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and their application
