About the Role

Were expanding our Usage Experience (Frontend) teams and hiring a Technical Lead to help shape this critical area. Usage-Based Billing is one of the most important initiatives HubSpot is undertaking in 2026. Our goal is to tie customer value directly to how we bill and to scale HubSpot alongside our customers success.

As we expand our credits-driven products across the company youll help build the frontend experiences that give customers greater control predictability and visibility into their usage. This work sits directly on the path to revenue and plays a central role in how AI-powered products are monetised.

This is a hands-on Technical Lead role with meaningful ownership from day one. Youll help define the frontend foundations of a growing team while building net-new customer-facing features on top of an existing product. Working closely with an established Product Manager and Designer youll translate complex pricing and usage concepts into clear intuitive user experiences.

The Team

This is a newly formed team which is expected to grow steadily reaching around four engineers by the end of the year. From the start the team works in close partnership with Product and Design and has high visibility across the business due to the direct impact its work has on monetisation and revenue.

What Youll Be Working On

  • Building new frontend features for usage-based billing and credit experiences
  • Translating complex pricing usage and monetisation concepts into clear intuitive UI
  • Leading frontend technical decisions using React and TypeScript
  • Setting patterns and standards as the frontend function grows
  • Collaborating deeply with Product Design Pricing & Strategy and Finance
  • Helping ramp up additional frontend engineers as the team scales

What Were Looking For

  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript
  • Proven ability to lead a team of frontend software engineers
  • Experience building production-grade customer-facing web applications
  • Comfort working in cross-functional product-led teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech billing pricing or monetisation domains
  • Exposure to AI-powered products or data-heavy user interfaces
  • Interest in how frontend engineering directly drives business outcomes

Growth & Impact

A year from now youll be the frontend technical owner for usage-based selling experiences leading larger initiatives across monetisation and credits. Youll help shape how AI products are sold and scaled while influencing frontend direction beyond your immediate team.
