Manning Base Hospitals Emergency Department is entering an exciting phase of growth and development under new leadership. Were building a dynamic FACEM team and looking for consultants ready to lead change - whether youre an experienced clinician seeking your next challenge or an early-career FACEM eager to contribute to shaping a departments future.

The Clinical Environment

  • Annual presentations: Approximately 38000
  • Current medical staffing: Full-time ED Director supported by a fraction of Staff Specialist FTE with room to grow a collaborative consultant group
  • Rostering: Day and evening shifts - no night shift. Opportunity to develop the on-call roster structure as the department evolves
  • Training opportunities: Supervise ACEM EMTP and ACCRM trainees with HETI accredited JMO positions and planned training expansion
  • Team culture: Dynamic NUM nursing team and nurse practitioners who form part of a clinical championship group. Unaccredited trainees joining in 2026 cohort of dedicated locum CMOs and FACEMs collaborative inpatient teams imbued with a culture of growth safety and excellence
  • Working environment: Expanded clinical space with dedicated clinical support working area
  • Case mix: High acuity presentations with fascinating pathology. Opportunity to innovate with care for a large percentage of local Indigenous and aged population

Additional Information:

* Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract including any approved extensions.
