We are currently recruiting for an Interim Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on behalf of a leading hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Provide strong professional and clinical leadership ensuring the delivery of safe high-quality evidence-based patient care that promotes clinical effectiveness and efficiency.
Lead the development implementation and evaluation of best practice policies procedures standards and clinical guidelines to maintain excellence in patient care.
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives contributing to audit processes data collection and service evaluation to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Oversee the coordination and deployment of nursing and support staff ensuring appropriate skill mix and effective resource utilisation in response to fluctuating workloads.
Promote a positive work environment by fostering staff morale teamwork motivation and professional accountability while supporting leadership development within the unit.
Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements (e.g. CPR manual handling fire safety customer care) and support ongoing staff education and development.
Collaborate effectively with service users families carers and the multidisciplinary team in care planning referrals and the provision of education and support.
Maintain high standards of documentation communication infection prevention and control and equipment management ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Facilitate effective communication within the unit and across hospital departments through regular meetings briefings committee participation and clear dissemination of information.
Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development by identifying learning needs engaging in education and research activities and contributing to teaching and learning opportunities within the clinical environment.
Requirements
Must be registered in the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) with an active licence to practise.
Demonstrated extensive clinical experience in Intensive Care Nursing within an acute hospital setting.
Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification and/or possess significant management experience appropriate to the role.
Provide evidence of ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) and commitment to maintaining clinical competence.
