Job Summary

3 months contract with local authority

This role involves providing dedicated support to a non-verbal child who is currently placed with an Emergency Duty Team (EDT) carer. The position is crucial in ensuring the childs well-being and facilitating effective communication and interaction within their care environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist the child in daily activities and routines.
Implement communication strategies tailored to the childs needs.
Collaborate with the EDT carer to ensure a supportive environment.
Monitor and report on the childs progress and any concerns.
Engage in activities that promote the childs development and comfort.

Requirements

Experience working with non-verbal children or individuals with communication challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with carers and other professionals.
Patience empathy and a supportive attitude.
Relevant qualifications or training in child care or special education.
