ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
We are currently recruiting for an operations Manager to join a successful team in the Rail & Transport sector based in London. Our client is a progressive and dynamic company within the FM sector and a leading provider of Strategically Outsourced Services operating across the UK and Ireland. They are recognised experts in first generation outsourcing and provision of outsourced services to quality critical environments and sectors with unique challenges such as Rail Transport Corporate Offices Iconic Buildings Life Sciences Retail Healthcare and Education.
An experienced Operations Manager is required to oversee the delivery of cleaning hygiene waste management and other contracted services across client sites. The role ensures operations are delivered efficiently and effectively meeting client expectations contractual requirements and organisational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage contracts in line with company policies and procedures
Ensure KPIs are delivered in line with SLAs
Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness hygiene waste management and security services
Oversee Cleaning operations rota management incident reporting and communication
Control staffing levels rosters payroll and on-site resources
Produce budget forecasts and monthly financial reconciliations
Monitor quality and performance standards resolving non-compliance issues promptly
Provide professional operational support and effective leadership to site-based teams
Maintain strong communication motivation and engagement across site operations
KEY REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in operations contract or facilities management with in-depth industry knowledge desirable
Strong knowledge of cleaning industry standards (including BICSc) and Health & Safety regulations with cleaning industry experience desirable
Demonstrated experience delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Experience in budget forecasting cost control and financial management
Strong analytical problem-solving and stakeholder management skills with Lean / Six Sigma training desirable
Proficient in performance monitoring reporting systems and IT applications
Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and record keeping
Sound business acumen with a strong commitment to compliance and best practice
Knowledge of ISO standards or similar compliance frameworks
Health & Safety qualification (IOSH) with additional professional training desirable
