The Role


Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Direct Medics Head Office - Belfast

Job Type: Full-Time Perm
Reports to: IT Director

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Project Manager to lead and manage complex high-impact projects ensuring the successful delivery of digital transformation and business process re-engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in managing multi-stakeholder cross-functional teams and delivering projects that involve the implementation of enterprise systems and tools.

As an IT Project Manager you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of projects from initiation through to go-live adoption and benefits realization. Your expertise in structured project methodologies and experience in systems integration data migration and process optimization will be key to driving successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage IT projects including digital transformation programmes and business process re-engineering initiatives ensuring timely on-budget and quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to gather requirements manage project scope and align objectives with business goals.

  • Implement and integrate systems such as Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central CRM platforms and data & reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI).

  • Oversee systems integration data migration and governance ensuring high-quality execution and compliance with best practices.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and workflow optimization to improve operational efficiency.

  • Apply structured project management methodologies (Agile Hybrid or PRINCE2) to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Manage the full project lifecycle: from initiation to go-live and through adoption to benefits realization.

  • Monitor and manage project risks dependencies and finances providing regular updates to senior leadership.

  • Develop and execute benefits realization modelling ensuring projects deliver measurable value to the business.

  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders ensuring effective communication and alignment on project goals and progress.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • 5 years of proven experience in IT project management particularly in digital transformation and business process re-engineering.

    • Experience delivering cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and departments.

    • Hands-on experience with systems implementation including Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central CRM platforms and business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of systems integration data migration and governance.

    • Knowledge of automation workflow optimization and business process improvement techniques.

  • Methodology Expertise:

    • Experience working with structured project management methodologies such as Agile Hybrid or PRINCE2.

  • Delivery & Stakeholder Management:

    • Proven ability to manage end-to-end project lifecycles and deliver projects to a successful conclusion.

    • Strong risk dependency and financial tracking skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

Desirable Skills:

  • Benefits realization modelling and tracking.

  • Previous experience in managing high-visibility IT transformation projects.
