Job Summary:

As a people leader within the Digital Marketing Product Management team you will lead the group responsible for the applications that support the Content Supply Chain including our Product Information Management (PIM) application enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) system and workflow management this role you will foster a culture of collaboration innovation and accountability empowering your team to deliver high quality solutions that advance Caterpillars marketing strategy.

As a Marketing Content Systems Product Manager you will partner closely with the Content Supply Chain Program Manager Activation Manager Strategist and the Engineering team to execute the vision guide the implementation and ensure continuous improvement of our marketing tools. You own the product vision roadmap and backlog but more critically you shape how these applications integrate with Caterpillars broader digital ecosystem.

This opportunity requires a combination of technical expertise strategic foresight thoughtful prioritization to maximize value within timeline constraints and strong changeleadership capabilities. Success in this role requires deep product owner experience combined with strong product management skills and the ability to form strategic partnerships across the enterprise. By aligning platform capabilities with our business goals you will help ensure measurable improvements in user experience and adoption while enabling our Business partners to achieve their marketing objectives more efficiently.

What You Will Do:

  • Build mentor and inspire a high-performing team of product owners and business analysts providing clear direction coaching and professional development opportunities.

  • Set clear objectives monitor team and product KPIs and ensure accountability for results.

  • Own the delivery of the product roadmap ensuring planned initiatives are executed and sequenced effectively to meet business and strategic objectives.

  • Partner closely with the Program Manager to align timelines and prioritization while balancing business needs engineering inputs and the broader Content Supply Chain strategy.

  • Adopt a customer centric approach by gathering and analyzing user feedback usage data and industry trends to guide product decisions aimed to enhance user experience.

  • Work with engineering leadership to define and coordinate resource needs identifying gaps and facilitating the support required to ensure teams are properly resourced.

  • Track product spend and partner with the Purchasing team on product specific implementation efforts.

  • Lead product specific initiatives related to any future application searches or onboardings required to support the Content Supply Chain.

  • Oversee the application configuration strategy onboarding and governance to support Caterpillars Content Supply Chain ensuring alignment with business needs.

  • Serve as the strategic liaison among business stakeholders engineering teams and supplier partners to advocate for enhancements and improved user functionality that align with enterprise standards.

  • Present to stakeholders and leadership on product specific updates and enhancements around timelines and functionality through strong communication skills.

Digital Marketing: Knowledge of processes techniques and platforms of digital marketing; ability to implement or manage digital marketing programs.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience as a people leader or manager with a proven track record of developing and empowering teams.

  • Background in digital marketing practices and content creation strategies.

  • Strong interest in supporting governance compliance and process standardization.

  • Detail oriented well organized and accountable with a proven ability to maintain accuracy and consistency across multiple projects.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences including engineering business partners and leadership.

  • Experience in defining assessment criteria to evaluate potential applications or systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functions.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive emotional or potentially controversial situations effectively particularly during periods of change management.

  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) or Content Management Systems (CMS) and the Adobe Marketing Products (Workfront AEM Assets and Firefly Services).

  • Capability to manage projects from start to finish ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

  • Strong understanding of API integrations data modeling and content syndication workflows.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing engineering and business partners.

  • Solid understanding of Caterpillar policies standards procedures and business model.

  • Product Owner certification (CSPO from Scrum Alliance) or knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Word Excel Teams PowerPoint and Azure DevOps.

  • Experience working with onshore/offshore team model.

$147760.00 - $221640.00
