The Opportunity

As Vice President of Finance you will lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Deal Desk functions during a critical phase of Flock Safetys growth. This role is both strategic and hands-on responsible for building a world-class team while serving as a trusted thought partner to the executive team. Youll bring public-market rigor to a high-growth private-company environment elevating forecasting precision GTM financial strategy and decision-making across the business. This is an opportunity for a proven finance leader to shape how Flock plans measures and scales helping the company operate like a public company well before it becomes one.

The Skillset

• World-class FP&A leadership: Deep experience leading FP&A at a company meaningfully larger and more complex than Flock with a demonstrated ability to scale financial planning forecasting and reporting.

• Public-market mindset: Strong understanding of public company standards including forecast accuracy operating cadence financial controls and executive-level reporting expectations.

• GTM & enterprise sales finance expertise: Proven experience partnering closely with Sales Marketing and RevOps owning or deeply supporting GTM FP&A enterprise sales motions capacity modeling pipeline economics and ROI analysis.

• High-velocity operator & builder: Thrives in fast-paced ambiguous environments; brings a builder mentality to designing teams processes and financial infrastructure that scale with the business.

• Exceptional business partnership: Trusted advisor to executives and functional leaders; collaborative thoughtful and influential with the ability to translate financial insights into clear actionable recommendations.

• Strong people leader: Experience building and developing high-performing teams with clear ownership accountability and growth paths.

First 30 Days

• Build deep context on Flocks business model GTM motion product strategy and growth drivers.

• Establish strong relationships with the executive team GTM leaders and key cross-functional partners.

• Assess current FP&A and Deal Desk processes forecasting accuracy planning cadence and financial infrastructure.

• Identify immediate gaps and quick wins related to reporting clarity forecasting rigor and executive insights.

60 Days

• Lead improvements to forecast quality and operating cadence incorporating public-market-level rigor where appropriate.

• Partner with GTM leadership to refine sales capacity models pipeline forecasting and enterprise deal economics.

• Define the future-state FP&A operating model including org design tooling and core planning processes.

• Begin elevating how financial insights are used in executive decision-making and strategic planning.

90 Days

• Deliver a clear scalable FP&A roadmap aligned to Flocks growth trajectory and long-term ambitions.

• Implement enhanced planning and reporting frameworks that improve predictability and accountability across the business.

• Solidify FP&A and Deal Desks roles as true strategic partners to the exec team and functional leaders.

• Build momentum toward a best-in-class finance function capable of supporting a future public company.

Salary & Equity

In this role youll receive a starting salary between $270000 - $300000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience education/training as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.

Location

This role is based in New York City or Boston MA where youll join our dynamic team to collaborate in person and drive innovation. Candidates must reside in or relocate to New York City or Boston MA for this position.
