Description

As a Credit Manager at Honeywell your role will have a significant impact on the financial health and stability of the company. By effectively managing credit risk you will contribute to the companys cash flow and profitability. Your decisions and actions will directly impact the companys ability to extend credit to customers manage credit exposure and minimize bad debt losses.

Your expertise in evaluating creditworthiness establishing credit limits and implementing credit control measures will help the company make informed decisions about customer credit and mitigate potential risks. Your proactive approach to credit management will contribute to maintaining strong customer relationships and minimizing payment delays.

Overall your role as a Credit Manager will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial stability and success of Honeywell by effectively managing credit risk.

You will report directly to our Credit director and youll work out of our Prague Czechia location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a regional team that evaluates credit risk makes recommendations on and sets risk class and credit limits on customer accounts.
  • Maintain a strong controls environment enforce the Credit Policy and all credit related SOX requirements.
  • Edit and present Credit Approval Cases and recommendations for approval to Senior Leaders. Review and approve cases per approval authority.
  • Escalate timely to business when significant Credit deterioration is identified and make recommendations.
  • Act as primary focal for SOX internal and external audit related to the credit risk process.
  • Partner with external Credit agencies lead improvements strive to maximize value and minimize costs.
  • Initiate and lead the customer bankruptcy process in the region working with Collections Sales Customer Excellence and Legal.
  • Partner with Collections Sales Customer Excellence and Customer Master to ensure alignment with Credit on the End-to-End Customer to Cash Process.
  • Assume a key role in driving long-term transformation roadmap for the credit risk function credit limit approvals and credit control.
  • Assume a senior role within Treasury and Credit often called upon to assist management with special assignments and training of employees.
  • Champion internal change across regions prepare and lead trainings team members development plans.
  • Ad-hoc project leadership as and when required based on the department requirements.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Min. bachelors degree in finance Accounting or other relevant field
  • Min. 7 years of relevant experience in customer to cash and credit risk analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to lead train teach or coach business professionals.
  • Extensive knowledge in reviewing Customer Credit Reports and Financial Statements provided by external Credit Agencies.
  • Strong problem solving interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems
  • Fluency in English
