Pay: $2160/week (plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Hermitage TN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized care to patients who require close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical units. The ideal candidate has strong PCU or step-down experience excels in high-acuity settings and is committed to delivering safe evidence-based patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU setting.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs cardiac rhythms and other critical indicators intervening promptly when necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications IV therapies and treatments accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about their health conditions treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments interventions and patient progress in the medical record.
- Adhere to infection control protocols safety standards and evidence-based practices in PCU nursing.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Tennessee (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 12 years of recent PCU or step-down nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong clinical assessment critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-acuity situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
