What you will be doing:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Hotels Food & Beverage outlets management team during the peak summer season. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide on-the-floor supervision support and coaching to employees to maintain service standards
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and anticipate needs for upcoming events
  • Ensure compliance with service essentials steps of service and brand standards
  • Review and respond to guest comments in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in conducting shift briefings and departmental meetings
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and safety of the outlets
  • Develop effective working relationships with all supporting departments
  • Adhere to all corporate hotel and departmental policies and procedures including Health & Safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as required within the department

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

  • Must have minimum 1-2 years previous supervisory or management experience in Food & Beverage; preferably in a full service upscale hotel or upscale restaurant. 
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role is an asset
  • Service focused personality is essential and a passion for everything food and beverage
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and demonstrates the ability to lead by example
  • Wine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an asset
  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an asset
  • Must have valid Serving it Right Certification and FoodSafe Level One
  • Schedule flexibility including early mornings late nights weekends and all holidays
