Shift: 5x8 Days (MonFri typically 8:004:30; flexible earlier hours as needed)
Pay: $7000/week
Completion Bonus: $2500 per contract (up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Psychiatrist for a travel assignment providing forensic and inpatient psychiatric services. The Psychiatrist will evaluate diagnose and treat patients prescribe medications and provide psychotherapy and counseling. This is a weekday day-shift role with no weekend or holiday requirement. The environment includes forensic populations and transition to Epic charting.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate examine and diagnose psychiatric patients
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services
- Develop and oversee treatment plans
- Monitor and coordinate psychiatric aspects of patient care
- Review patient records for accuracy and completeness
- Provide clinical guidance to medical and direct care staff
- Participate in lectures and educational sessions for staff
- Support forensic and high-acuity psychiatric cases
- Document care in the electronic medical record system
Qualifications
- Valid physician license to practice medicine required
- Completion of approved psychiatry residency program required
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry preferred
- Eligibility under applicable state psychiatric practice standards
- Experience in forensic or inpatient psychiatry preferred
- Ability to prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Willingness to work with forensic populations
- Ongoing continuing education and license renewal required
