Pay: $2367/week (plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Plano TX on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor delivery and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate has strong obstetric nursing experience excels in fast-paced environments and is committed to delivering safe family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor delivery and postpartum recovery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs contractions and labor progression intervening as necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments including induction agents epidurals and IV therapies.
- Assist physicians midwives and the care team during deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
- Educate mothers and families on labor processes postpartum care breastfeeding and newborn care.
- Accurately document assessments interventions and outcomes in the medical record.
- Adhere to infection control protocols safety standards and evidence-based L&D practices.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Texas (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 12 years of recent L&D nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment decision-making and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
