Part-Time Janitorial

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated reliable and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial housekeeping or a related field is preferred it is not mandatory. Please be aware that applicants must successfully complete a background check. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for cleaning common areas maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance issues. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or with a team are essential. -Location: Waikiki (Honolulu HI 96815)

-Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the facility

Stand and walk for extended periods

Communicate effectively and understand English

Clean elevators walk paths and hallways

Operate a vacuum for indoor cleaning

Utilize a leaf blower for outdoor areas

Restroom cleaning and restock supplies

Sweep mop interior and exterior floors clean glass doors and mirrors

Clean and disinfect surfaces that are being touched frequently

Clean and wipe down all tables and chairs

Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas

Lift trash from bins bend and navigate staircases

Push trash bins as needed

-Skills/Qualifications:

Must pass background check

High school diploma/GED preferred

Previous janitorial custodian experience or related experience is preferred and willing to train.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English

Must have good public relations skills and communication

Applicants must perform basic manual labor clean common areas frequently press lift push pull carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs) be able to reach overhead grasp objects bend kneel crawl squat climb stretch walk stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.

-Schedule:Part-time 20 hours per week Monday-Friday: 8am-12pm

-Compensation per hour: $19.00
