Job Summary

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building strong client relationships and delivering highvalue solutions NEC Australia is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our sales team and play a key role in expanding our footprint across Government and Enterprise markets.

About the role

As a Business Development Manager you will proactively engage with new and existing customers to promote NECs broad portfolio of ICT solutions. Operating within a defined geographic region and/or market sector you will identify opportunities develop tailored value propositions and drive sales outcomes aligned to annual targets.

You will work closely with internal teamsincluding Sales Specialists Enterprise Architects Marketing and Commercialto develop customercentric solutions and longterm partnerships.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the National Sales Manager your key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Build and expand NECs customer base across Enterprise and Government sectors.
  • Identify qualify and develop new sales opportunities aligned with customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver highimpact proposals presentations and solution recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting and documentation.
  • Manage and grow key client relationships to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Strategically assess accounts to identify new revenue streams and longterm value.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful solution delivery.

What Youll Bring

  • Minimum of 10 plus years experience in a consultative selling role preferably within an IT Services company
  • Demonstrated experience in IT Managed Services BPO Systems Integration Security XaaS Unified Communications Contact Centre environments and digital software solutions.
  • Proven success managing complex longcycle sales engagements.
  • Ability to influence and engage Csuite executives and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive results in a fastpaced sales environment.
  • A strong network of industry contacts and a history of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Welldeveloped strategic thinking planning and proposal development capabilities.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or PostGraduate qualification
  • Sales methodology certifications (e.g. SPIN TAS)
