Our dynamic global sales organization operates across multiple high-growth business lines including Data Valuations and Risk Analytics. Based in Sydney this leadership role oversees our expansion across the Pacific and ASEAN regions. We work with cutting-edge analytics and differentiated data that help customers stay ahead of competition and pinpoint risk exposures in unpredictable market environments.

Responsibilities and Impact

As the Head of Sales for Pacific & ASEAN you will be responsible for driving the revenue strategy for our Data Valuations and Risk Analytics specialist line managing a team of high-performing specialists in both Australia and Singapore.

  • Regional Strategy & Execution: Drive ambitious sales growth by meeting or exceeding regional new business quotas across the Pacific and ASEAN territories.
  • Team Leadership: Lead mentor and develop a team of Sales Specialists. Foster a culture of partnership integrity and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • C-Suite Engagement: Build and nurture deep relationships with C-Suite executives and senior decision-makers at Tier-1 Financial Institutions Corporates and Government bodies.
  • Diagnostic Leadership: Guide the team in conducting diagnostic sales conversations to position tailored solutions for complex credit and market risk challenges.
  • Commercial Oversight: Lead complex negotiations for high-value commercial and contractual deals ensuring sophisticated sales cycles are managed effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the regional bridge between Product Management Pre-Sales and Customer Success to ensure the S&P Global portfolio meets specific Pacific/ASEAN market requirements.
  • Pipeline & Forecasting: Maintain rigorous oversight of the regional pipeline in Salesforce providing accurate forecasting to the Market Intelligence (MI) global leadership.
  • Product Advocacy: Act as the regional subject matter expert for Data Valuations and Risk Analytics coaching the team on unique selling propositions (USPs) and regulatory drivers.

What Were Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Finance Economics or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 10 years of proven sales experience in financial services with an experience leadership or people-management role.
  • Product Expertise: Deep understanding of Market Data and Market and Credit Risk Management for Fixed Income Equities OTC Derivative pricing and valuations Security Lending across Buy-side and Sell-side
  • Sales Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in consultative sales methodologies and managing multi-stakeholder cycles for complex data solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior-level executives.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of SaaS platforms API-based data delivery and Market Risk analytics workflows.
  • Regulatory Insight: Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks (e.g. Basel IV IFRS 9) affecting valuation and risk management in the Pacific and ASEAN regions.
  • Network: An established network within Buy-side and Sell-side institutions across the assigned territories.
  • Mindset: An entrepreneurial leader who is adaptable in fast-paced environments and driven by a spirit of discovery.
