Senior Lead Technician
Job Summary
Purpose of the Job:-
To plan and organise the technical work that has to be carried out on respective shifts ensuring effective communication to all employees and relevant authorities. To strive to achieve departmental targets through the effective management and supervision of the team.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Reporting all activities to Technical Group Leader
- Supervision of the Lead Technician and the Test Technicians in the above area
- To ensure daily communication to the Technicians on relevant information in conjunction eith the Lead Technician.
- Technicians assessments and reviews for Lead Technician and Test Technicians.
- To give timely feedback with regard to performance of relevant Lead and Technicians.
- To ensure prompt assignment to technicians e.g. M.C. downtime.
- Allocation of work on a priority basis.
- To carry out a hands on role on Preventative Maintenance Programs for Maintenance equipment
- Control of critical spare parts for Machines.
- Provide technical training to Technicians.
- Light administration duties for the lines e.g. overtime spare parts cost conjunction with the Lead Technician
- Monitoring utilisation and yields.
- Participate in NPI activities for the area.
- Work in conjunction with other departments / personnel on process improvements to achieve PPM goals.
- To ensure that the internal Quality policy is follow-up in the above area.
- To ensure safe working practices per company policy.
- To ensure compliance to QS 9000 VDA 6.1 ISO 14000.
- Proactively demonstrate your responsibility for health safety and environmental (EHS) issues among your team as well as their well-being ensuring your team also accepts their individual responsibility for such matters.
- Adherence to environmental procedure and reaching Company environmental targets essential.

Qualifications :
Qualifications:
Cert/Diploma in Engineering (NFQ Level 6 or 7) Electronic/Mechatronics.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical knowledge
- Good computer knowledge experience
- Knowledge of SAP system desirable
- Product / Process knowledge of the equipment
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Well motivated individual
- Leadership Skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility
- Very good communication skills
