What youll do
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture
- Lean Leadership: Lead and facilitate the Lean and Continuous Improvement Program across Weir Minerals Australia embedding lean principles and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Training & Development: Develop and deliver structured training programs to build competency in lean and continuous improvement tools across teams.
- Project Facilitation: Facilitate and lead kaizen activities and improvement projects across value streams to reduce waste improve efficiency and enhance On-Time Delivery (OTD).
- Operational Excellence: Drive initiatives to eliminate process waste reduce operational costs and improve customer satisfaction through lean methodologies.
- APAC Coordination: Coordinate the lean framework standardisation and reporting requirements across the APAC region chair monthly meetings and represent APAC in divisional lean engagements.
- Data & Reporting: Monitor and tabulate waste performance across Weir Minerals Australia and support APAC lean coordination requirements with data-driven insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with operations teams project leaders and cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and successful implementation of lean initiatives.
- Travel: Some travel within the APAC region may be required to support coordination and engagement activities.
What youll bring
Must-haves:
- Proven experience in a Lean leadership position with strong knowledge of engineering principles manufacturing methodologies and quality systems.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with excellent stakeholder management across multiple geographies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
Nice-to-haves:
- Formal Lean certification such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Project management qualification (e.g. PMP or PRINCE2).
- Experience or certification in change management and organisational change programs.
