Pay:$ 2278.80/week(plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)

Job Summary:

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates diagnoses and treats patients with speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders following illness injury or surgery. This role focuses on restoring communication and swallowing function to improve independence and quality of life during recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of speech language cognition and swallowing for patients in an inpatient rehab setting.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide therapy for aphasia dysarthria cognitive-communication deficits and dysphagia.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques compensatory strategies and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians nurses occupational therapists physical therapists and dietitians to ensure coordinated care.
• Document evaluations treatment sessions and progress notes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Maintain compliance with facility policies professional standards and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current state SLP license Required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab or acute care preferred; clinical fellowship year (CFY) may be considered.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of neurogenic communication disorders and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Ability to perform and interpret instrumental swallowing assessments (e.g. FEES VFSS) preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand walk and assist patients during therapy sessions.
• Manual dexterity for therapy tools and documentation.
