Location: Columbus OH
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Days (typically 8:00am4:00pm)
Pay: $2868/week
Completion Bonus: $2500 per contract (up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a travel assignment providing on-site primary care services in a correctional setting. The NP will deliver comprehensive primary care to adult patient populations manage acute and chronic conditions and coordinate follow-up care. This is a full-time weekday role with potential for extension based on ongoing need and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary care services to adult patients in a correctional setting
- Evaluate diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Perform physical exams and health assessments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope
- Manage and coordinate ongoing care plans
- Document all encounters and orders in the medical record
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license required
- Family NP or Adult-Gerontology NP certification required
- Board certification required
- Minimum 1 year NP experience in primary care or hospital medicine required
- BLS/CPR certification required
- DEA registration required for assignment
- Comprehensive resume with full work history required
- Drug screening and TB test documentation required prior to start
