TheMaintenance Technician is a key resource and part of a small management team responsible for daily site operations and to ensure employee and member satisfaction enforcing company standards and achieving desired financial results. This position reports to the general manager and requires work to be performed in person at the assigned location.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Essential Duties:

• Regularly inspect equipment detergents and drying to ensure the best possible wash quality and make improvements or escalate where needed
• Order detergents and parts as needed with approval from site leader
• Help trouble shoot any issues on site regarding wash equipment technology and utilities
• Ensure wash quality is always superior
• Daily PH Tests / TDS Tests for the wash
• Perform after-hours maintenance if needed
• Perform volumetrics
• Complete daily preventative maintenance by following the preventative maintenance checklist in the manager app.
• Maintain vacuum equipment; monitor all hoses gaskets and nozzles and replace as needed
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor on the condition of the wash and if help is needed with projects
• Contact support when help is needed and keep a timely eye on tickets that are being completed
• Monthly tool check and replacement upon site leaders approval
• Monthly parts list check and replacement upon site leaders approval
• Serve as on-call team member for wash down situations
• Train new team members on the wash tech safety and vacuum concierge positions
• Train shift leaders and above on preventative maintenance and maintenance items
• Step in to work other positions if needed
• Work standard team member shifts as determined by Site Leader and Regional Director
• Keep inventory of tools and wash parts on site
• Keep tool benches and work areas organized and clean
• Exemplify and uphold the WE OWN IT culture

Essential Physical Functions:

This job operates in a professional retail environment. Car wash operating hours are Monday through Sunday from 7:00am - 9:00pm. This role routinely operates in all areas of the car wash facility including both indoor and outdoor work. The job work environment is fun clean and fast-paced.

The job works 5 to 7 days per week on site and works 30-40 hours per week. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery etc.
• Able to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) detect converse with discern convey express oneself and exchange information.
• Able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work and commute in all weather conditions.
• Able to walk bend twist turn stoop climb steps reach with hands use hands to fingers.
• Continual standing moving and walking for several consecutive hours during shift which comprises 80% of daily duties. Remain stationary for approximately 20% of daily duties.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience required
• Exceptional verbal and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Successful completion of Tommys University training program preferred
• Basic computer proficiency including but not limited to point of sale system and Google Workplace applications such as Google Office and email.
• Hard working enthusiastic and energetic!
• Experience working as a Shift Lead or Team at Tommys Car Wash Express is preferred.
