The Loss Prevention Specialist will support the Loss Prevention Manager in file management incident resolution and operational improvement within the Security Department in Spain.

This role involves maintaining up-to-date records investigating and resolving incidents related to lost or stolen parcels coordinating internal communications and collecting data and performance metrics.

As a member of the Security Department within the Loss Prevention Area the Loss Prevention Specialist will support national-level investigations using video surveillance systems and analytical tools to identify and assess incidents across all agencies in Spain. The position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at minimizing loss exposure and strengthening asset protection.

What responsibilities and objectives will you have

  • Analyze loss exposure and implement loss control measures.

  • Conduct loss investigations including theft investigations when required.

  • Manage and monitor physical security systems and controls.

  • Control and supervise CCTV and intrusion systems in depots and facilities.

  • Oversee access control operations and analyze incidents affecting facilities people and parcels.

  • Deliver loss prevention education and awareness initiatives.

  • Perform comprehensive loss prevention audits.

  • Identify problems collect relevant information and propose strategic solutions.

  • Develop and implement programs and strategies related to physical security in the logistics industry.

  • Ensure investigations comply with legal requirements avoiding procedural or legal errors.

  • Coordinate with Operations Transportation Customer Service and other departments to reduce loss exposure and maximize asset protection.

  • Implement and evaluate security systems for depots and facilities.

  • Collect categorize and analyze data related to criminal activity to build databases for future investigations.

  • Conduct internet-based security and social media investigations.

Well what will the requirements be

  • 12 years of experience in a similar position or previous experience within CCTV teams as a Security Officer.

  • Relevant experience in loss prevention or physical security environments.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing loss prevention programs and strategies.

  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to gather information from multiple sources.

  • Experience using data management tools such as Excel and advanced analytics platforms such as Power BI or similar.

  • Experience managing security systems including Access Control and CCTV solutions (HikCentral Milestone SmartPSS Desico or similar).

  • Strong knowledge of Spanish private security legislation to ensure investigations are legally compliant.

  • Experience with court proceedings and understanding of the legal scope of private security in Spain.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish; French is a plus.

  • Degree in Criminology Security Sciences Law or a related field.

  • At least one industry-recognized qualification (e.g. Certified Safety & Security Training Wicklander-Zulawski CPP APP TAPA Logistics or Retail Loss Prevention Criminology Private Investigator Security Management Police or Military training).

  • Spanish Private Security license is a plus.
