The Team

With low child-to-teacher ratios team members focus on meeting each childs individual needs. The Role
The preschool seeks a caring dedicated Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to support children during this extraordinary stage of growth and discovery. This position plays an essential role in creating a nurturing responsive environment where the youngest learners feel safe valued and inspired to explore.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team member who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering each childs social emotional and physical development. Strong candidates bring a positive attitude a growth mindset and experience working with infants and toddlers along with a willingness to learn and grow alongside a supportive teaching team.
Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing care to support the social emotional and physical needs of each child.
- Maintain a consistent schedule MondayFriday 7:30 AM4:30 PM
- Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans with the teaching team
- Communicate effectively and professionally with families including updates about childrens progress and needs (via phone calls newsletters and conferences)
- Participate in weekly team meetings and professional development opportunities to foster personal and team growth
- Ensure childrens safety and well-being at all times

- Experience working with young children and an understanding of their social emotional and creative needs
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (preferred but not required)
- A minimum of two years experience in a childcare or preschool setting (preferred but not required)
Work Environment
- Indoor/outdoor classroom environment
- Outdoor natural learning spaces
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and engage in activities at the childs level
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate standard office and classroom equipment
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Bending at the waist kneeling or crouching to assist children
- Seeing to read a variety of materials and monitor student activities
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information
- Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally
