About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Litigation Associate (3 5 years) to join our expanding general litigation practice in Providence. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and argue substantive motions and participate in hearings and trials
- Take and defend depositions
- Manage all aspects of discovery including drafting requests and responses
- Prepare pleadings and develop case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding case strategy developments and outcomes
- Assist with trial preparation including witness preparation and exhibit management
- Manage multiple active matters efficiently and meet all deadlines
Qualifications:
- Admission to the bar of at least one state and in good standing; must become admitted in Rhode Island within six months
- Additional admission in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut strongly preferred
- 3 5 years of commercial litigation experience
- Strong legal research writing and analytical skills
- Demonstrated motion practice and deposition experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Practical solutions-oriented approach to client service
