About the role
The Head of Commercial Office is accountable for leading Worleys Digital Commercial and Asset Management function. This role ensures effective management of all software hardware vendor and commercial contracts supporting enterprise IT and digital operations. It drives disciplined cost control transparent commercial governance and datadriven decisionmaking across global IT portfolios.
Reporting to the Senior Group Director of Digital Operations the role governs the commercial and financial performance of the IT Run organisation while supporting digital transformation initiatives (Change).
Key Responsibilities include:
Define and execute the Digital Commercial Office strategy aligned to Worleys digital roadmap and financial objectives.
Establish and lead an integrated operating model covering IT Procurement Software Asset Management (SAM) Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Digital Software Cost Management (DSCM).
Drive multi-year cost optimisation through strategic sourcing vendor consolidation licence optimisation and procurement excellence.
Lead global commercial governance across the full contract lifecycle embedding rigor in RFPs negotiations supplier onboarding and renewals.
Own vendor and partner management including performance governance contract compliance renewals escalations and risk management.
Manage the Digital Commercial Office budget ensuring strong spend visibility forecasting ROI tracking and OPEX optimisation.
Ensure compliance with procurement financial audit security and software licence obligations proactively managing audit and regulatory risk.
Maintain a holistic view of the global IT contract portfolio identifying renewal risks commercial opportunities and strategic priorities.
Own the SAM/HAM tooling and data strategy delivering accurate cost transparency executive reporting and actionable commercial insights.
Lead and develop a high-performing global team building strong commercial capability accountability and a value-driven culture across Digital Operations.
What youll bring
Bachelors degree in Business Finance Information Technology or a related field (Masters preferred).
Extensive experience in IT commercial management vendor governance or procurement leadership roles within large complex enterprises.
Core Competencies
Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to manage multimillion-dollar IT contracts and budgets.
Deep understanding of software licensing models asset management and vendor lifecycle management.
Expertise in IT financial governance budgeting and OPEX optimization.
Skilled negotiator with experience in contract drafting SLA frameworks and performance management.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) cloud service contracts and cybersecurity risk clauses.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical commercial and executive domains.
Proven leadership in building and managing high-performing global teams.
Awareness of global technology market trends pricing structures and vendor negotiation dynamics.
Ability to prepare and present commercial insights to executive and board governance bodies.
