Role Overview:

We require a highly-skilled teaching assistant to work with children across the school providing tailored support for children with SEND including EHCPs.

The vacancy is for all day Monday & Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. We are looking for a warm nurturing individual who can offer an exceptional level of care and is able to develop childrens independence. They will focus on the targets from the EHCPs and plan and deliver activities accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEND to access learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support and behaviour plans.
  • Monitor progress promote positive behaviour and contribute to school life.

Essential Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or relevant TA experience.
  • Experience supporting primary-aged children.
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Strong teamwork communication and ICT skills.

Desirable:

  • First Aid training.
  • Phonics training and/or KS2 experience.
