Location: Bangalore
The Software Quality Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge we design and develop software for platforms peripherals applications and diagnostics all with the most advanced technologies tools software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.
What you will do
As a Software Quality Engineer 2 - Runtime you will be responsible for testing sophisticated systems and software based on the customers business goals needs and general business environment. You will work with product management other engineering teams customer success and support on testing new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings.
Be a key member of an Agile team collaboratively realizing features through the Software development lifecycle. Work independently with minimal guidance from technical leadership. Collaborate with other quality engineers including design and test reviews. Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria be a user advocate and be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes.
Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA including manual and automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production-like environments.
You will:
- Design develop execute & maintain automated test cases and test scripts.
- Develop automated tests using JAVA (Selenium) & TestNG. Design efficient & reusable scripts in Selenium to be used across automated tests.
- Develop automated tests using ReST API frameworks such as RestAssured ReadyAPI etc.
- Design efficient & reusable scripts to be used across automated tests.
- Hands-on experience in Test Automation using Selenium WebDriver & Grid.
- Hands-on experience in testing Web Services/ APIs (REST SOAP and WSDL) & respective automation.
- Performance testing experience using Jmeter/Blazemeter is an added advantage.
- Review test cases and procedures to ensure coverage of and conformance to business requirements.
- Execute testing as required & according to test plan and project goals. Communicate testing progress and results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and continually improve quality assurance practices including creation and update of documentation related to quality assurance processes and guidelines.
- Provide impact analysis and regression testing of software changes.
- Knowledge in Defect Lifecycle and Defect Management tool like JIRA Zephyr HP ALM etc.
What youll need to succeed in this role
4 to 7 Years of overall experience.Bachelors degree in information technology or a related field.
Additional experience desired
- Background in Computer Science with good expertise of OOPS concepts & programming in Java.
- Experience using scripting languages such as Perl or Shell Scripting
- Experience using Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with IDE such as IntelliJ/Eclipse & source control systems & continuous integration tools such as GIT bitbucket etc.
- Familiarity with highly scalable high throughput web applications and backend systems.
- Familiarity with SQL queries relational database systems and ORM tools like Hibernate.
- Familiarity using AWS Cloud technologies and products.
