Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Food Services Supervisor to join us in a permanent full-timeroles (weekdays). Based at our Springfield campus these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU maternity emergency and medical surgical services its set to care for over 200000 patients annually.

Salary range: $34.87 - $36.55 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

As a Food Services Supervisor at Mater Springfield youll play a key role in ensuring our foodservice operations run smoothly safely and to the highest standard. Youll supervise day-to-day kitchen activities lead and support your team and maintain a strong focus on quality safety and exceptional patient service.

In this role you will:

• Supervise and support foodservice staff in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
• Monitor performance and provide on-the-job coaching and training
• Conduct audits quality checks and patient service reviews
• Identify and address training needs and skill gaps within your team
• Maintain high levels of customer service for patients and visitors
• Report and act on safety risks near misses and equipment issues
• Work collaboratively with the Team Leader to achieve departmental KPIs

About you

Youre a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example. You bring a strong service ethic a focus on safety and quality and a collaborative approach to managing people and processes.

You will have:

• Certificate III in Hospitality or a related field (essential)
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience in a supervisory role within foodservices or hospitality
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety and food safety requirements
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Moderate physical fitness to work on your feet and handle kitchen equipment and trolleys
• Proficiency with computers and ability to learn industry systems quickly
