JOB DESCRIPTION – TEST ENGINEER

Role Overview

We are looking for a Test Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality reliability and performance of a software platform used for HMI test automation. The role focuses on an automation-first approach to testing supported by manual testing where automation is not feasible across web applications backend services AI-based vision modules/components and device-level integrations.

Key Responsibilities Understand product requirements user workflows and system behavior.

Design and execute test cases for web UI backend APIs and end-to-end

workflows.

Create and maintain automated test cases using Python-based frameworks.

Use the Robot Framework for keyword-driven and system-level automation.

Perform manual testing for exploratory scenarios AI behavior validation and hardware-dependent cases.

Validate REST APIs authentication flows and database interactions.

Test AI-based features such as OCR and object detection outputs against expected results.

Perform regression smoke and sanity testing before releases.

Log defects clearly and accurately support root-cause analysis and verify fixes.

Collaborate closely with development product and AI teams.

Technical Skills Required

Testing & Automation Experience designing and writing test cases in Python. Experience writing test cases in Python.

Hands-on experience with Robot Framework for test automation.

Exposure to Selenium and/or Playwright for web UI automation.

Exposure to Selenium / Playwright for web UI automation.

Ability to decide which test scenarios should be automated versus manually tested.

Web & Backend Testing

Experience testing web applications built using modern frontend frameworks.

Experience testing REST APIs and backend logic.

Basic understanding of relational databases and data validation.

AI / System Testing

Basic understanding of OCR computer vision or AI-based feature validation.

Experience testing image-based or camera-driven workflows is a plus.

Exposure to Android or device-level testing tools is an advantage.

Manual Testing Scope Manual testing will be primarily used for:

Exploratory testing of new features and workflows.

AI output validation where results are non-deterministic or probabilistic.

AI output validation where results are non-deterministic.

Hardware- camera- or environment-dependent scenarios.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in software testing or test automation.

Experience with automation-driven testing environments is preferred.
