Elementary Teacher Temporary Summer Learning Program
Professional temporary teaching staff are needed to teach in the 2026 Elementary Summer Learning Program. Applications for these temporary positions will be accepted until March 1 2026.
Teachers will be expected to implement innovative instructional techniques that improve student achievement. Emphasis will be placed on higher-level thinking skills connecting learning to prior knowledge cooperative learning active learner participation and technology integration. The actual number of positions depends on enrollment.
Classrooms will feature teachers who co-plan and co-teach. If one co-teacher is absent the other will take on all standard professional responsibilities without extra pay. Substitute teachers will not be provided during this summers program. Progress reports must be submitted to parents on the programs final day.

Mandatory Staff Meeting July 9 2026 from 8 am 1 pm
Interviews are scheduled for the end of March.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Desire to work with at-risk students.
- Willingness to work with students who need to be academically challenged.
- Must be available to work the entire length of the program.
SALARY:
Stipend $3250 contingent on all designated working days; it will be adjusted accordingly if any working days are unmet. $50/hr x 65 hours
APPLICATION AND SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS:
Selection of an individual to fill these temporary positions will be determined by the Summer Learning Program administrators based upon applicant experience qualifications and professional attributes.
Interested and qualified applicants must complete an online application

After a detailed paper screening of all candidate credentials is completed only applicants who will be invited to interview will receive contact from the Program Supervisor.
