Job Summary
Are you an experienced Purchasing Officer with a background in mining or heavy industry Were looking for a proactive and detail-driven professional to manage end-to-end purchasing of mining parts services and consumables across multiple mine sites throughout Australia.
This is a fast-paced high-impact role where your ability to source efficiently expedite effectively and keep operations moving will directly support site performance.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for the full procure-to-pay process ensuring critical parts and services are sourced ordered and delivered to site on time. Working closely with vendors freight providers and internal stakeholders youll play a key role in maintaining operational continuity.
Key ResponsibilitiesSource parts and services in line with company policy and preferred suppliers
Generate purchase orders and manage follow-ups
Proactively manage vendor purchase orders including back orders and overdue items
Expedite parts to ensure on-time delivery to site
Book couriers and freight providers to meet delivery deadlines
Perform regular expediting and dispatch follow-ups
Coordinate and resolve invoice queries with internal teams
Minimum 3 years experience in a purchasing role
Experience purchasing mining mechanical or heavy equipment parts (highly regarded)
Experience using large ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle JDE)
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
