A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious commercially driven finance professional to join a multinational operating in over 100 countries. This role will play an integral part in shaping Finance for the future with excellent longer-term prospects.
The role will be broad hands-on challenging and highly rewarding for the successful individual.
You will be responsible for overseeing the finance function in Poland and will partner closely with the Operational Management team. The role will be based in Warsaw with occasional business travel to other AECOM offices abroad in order to build strong relationships with local finance teams and further strengthen our overall finance operations.
The Finance team comprises a team of 5 finance professionals located in Warsaw AP/AR and R2R teams located in Bucharest India and Manila. This role will report to the Regional Financial Director.
- Ensure that all required business reports and forecasts including cash forecasts P&L forecasting ad-hoc reporting requests and the annual budgeting process are completed accurately and on time.
- Manage the Project Accounting team to ensure that projects are being controlled from a financial perspective from Bid Stage to completion.
- Report Risks Opportunities and issues to ensure they are understood and acted upon.
- Work closely with the Operational team to understand the business and to provide them with insightful analysis for decision making.
- Perform deep analysis of results and KPIs to understand budget deviations.
- Ensure local statutory accounts and tax returns are prepared for all entities and branches.
- Lead the statutory audits and any tax audits.
- Primary point of contact for statutory auditors and external tax consultants.
- Manage Oracle month end activities US GAAP reporting and bridge to local GAAPs.
- Manage the monthly close and Group reporting.
- Ensure the company complies with AECOM internal controls.
- Liaison with Shared Service Centres (Manila Bangalore and Bucharest).
- Monitor balances in FX and reduce the FX exposure where needed.
- Drive the improvements of processes for accounting processes and statutory accounting.
- Identify areas for improvement in the B/S reconciliations and drive improvement.
- Manage the fringe accounting and highlight any potential risks or opportunities to management.
- Cash management and liaison with Treasury department.
- Liaise closely with Tax team to manage the transfer pricing analysis and any other tax matters.
- Leading and mentoring a team of 5 finance professionals.
Qualifications :
- Degree educated or equivalent in Accounting or similar
- Ideally qualified ACA ACCA CPA or similar
- Excellent written and spoken Polish and English is essential
- 5-7 years experience in similar role preferably in a multinational
- Proven experience of leading a diverse finance team and driving change
- Experience managing multiple tasks in complex environment
- Practical experience of US group audit or a US reporting environment
- Stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills energy and charisma
- Ability to efficiently navigate financial systems
- Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions
- Pro-active resilient approach
