Based in Broadmeadow youll provide support to NDIS participants living across the broader Newcastle Hunter and Maitland region (depending on where you live) whilst working in a diverse team of Occupational Therapist Speech Pathologist and Behavior Support Practitioners. Youll support participants in childcare centres schools aged care facilities day programs the community homes and/or our clinic space.
We offer an environment to learn and grow together youll have access to weekly supervision with your team leader discipline specific team meetings team building events and regular CPD. If you are excited about working across the lifespan with physical disability paediatrics adults psychosocial conditions and neurodevelopmental conditions we are the team for you!
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
- Assess participants developmental cognitive emotional psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
- Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
- Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
- A pro-active attitude and interest in continually developing your skills
- A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
