Job Summary

Excited by the opportunity to work across an adult caseload spanning physical disability psychosocial and neurodevelopmental conditions This could be the role for you.

Based in Broadmeadow youll provide support to adult participants living across the broader Newcastle Hunter and Maitland region (depending on where you live) whilst working in a diverse team of Occupational Therapist  Speech Pathologist and Behavior Support Practitioners. Youll support participants in aged care facilities day programs the community homes and/or our clinic space.

Responsibility will include:

  • Manage an allocated adults caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services 
  • Assess participants emotional psychological cognitive developmental and physical level of function and capacity to perform ADLs and IADLs
  • Provide complex therapeutic interventions
  • Supervise and mentor junior clinicians

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • A pro-active attitude and interest in continually developing your skills
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other Occupational Therapists
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
