The Transitional Living Centre (TLC) provides a specialised rehabilitation program for adults with acquired brain injury or multi-trauma injury who are working to rebuild independence and reintegrate confidently into the community. As the lead discipline within the TLC Occupational Therapy plays a key role in delivering evidencebased goaldriven interventions that support residents to develop meaningful daily living and community participation skills.
Our program supports individuals referred from rehabilitation hospitals as well as people transitioning from living with carers who wish to move toward greater independence including living on their own.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highperforming rehabilitation service and make a meaningful impact in the lives of people recovering post injury.
Based at the TLC in Thornbury you will manage a mixed caseload including ABI neurology and multi-trauma including conditions such as spinal injury or amputees while contributing to service development quality improvement and continuing education programs.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Delivering highquality clinical care informed by bestpractice evidence
- Demonstrating strong organisational and planning skills
- Communicating and engaging effectively with colleagues across all disciplines
To Be Successful You Will Have:
- Previous experience in neurological and/or acquired brain injury rehabilitation and/or multi-trauma (essential)
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Hospital and/or outpatient clinic experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of private health insurance TAC and VWA funding models (desirable)
- Strong accountability with an engaging and supportive communication style
- Ability to supervise and educate junior staff and students where required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This permanent fulltime position (38 hours per week Monday to Friday) includes the requirement to work from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on two days each week.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent as recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
