We have opportunities available for Newly Qualified Social Workers to join our superb Assessed and Supported Year in Employment(ASYE) programme 2026-7. The post requires that you can meet the travel requirements across the county of East Sussex so to be living in or near enough to travel regularly throughout East Sussex. NQSWs will start on Single Status 10 - 38872p.a. and progress to Single Statusp.a. upon successful completion.

Positions are within our community teams across the County who support and safeguard people with a range of support needs including:

Physical disability
Learning disability
Mental health needs
Substance use
Sensory needs
Adults in hospital
Transition from children to adult services

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have successfully completed your social work qualification within the last 3 years and be able to register with Social Work England by early September 2026 when the ASYE program starts.
  • Can demonstrate kindness compassion respect.
  • Have the ability to promote and uphold human rights and demonstrate a commitment to social justice.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively and in partnership with a wide range of people in a clear concise and accurate manner with adults their families carers and other professionals.
  • Understand the importance of the social work relationship and how this can support people to live the life they want and meet their personal outcomes.
