Junior Maintenance Technician / Production Technician
Support daily factory operations and machine performance as a hands-on technician in a production environment.

Our client is a fast-growing FMCG business specialising in the production of beverages.
The Role: Junior Maintenance Technician / Production Technician
The purpose of this role is to support daily factory operations machine performance and preventative maintenance. It contributes to the business by troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues while working closely with the production team to minimise downtime. The main focus areas include operating machinery performing repairs and carrying out scheduled maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- Operate and monitor production and packaging machinery while performing basic maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Conduct changeovers between different products and assist with machine setup start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Carry out preventative maintenance as per the established schedule.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of all machinery.
- Escalate major technical issues where required.
- Assist with piston filling machines packaging machinery and conveyors.
About You
- 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- Experience working with piston filling machines packaging machinery and conveyors.
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to work shifts and overtime when required.
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on skills.
- Hands-on practical reliable and punctual.
- Able to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.
- Willing to learn and grow.
- Experience in beverage or food production is advantageous.
- Exposure to piston pouch filling or liquid filling lines is preferred.
- Basic PLC fault finding (not programming) is a plus.
- Trade qualification (Fitter / Millwright / Technician) is advantageous.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems is beneficial.
