A well-regarded mid-sized branding and design agency is looking for a Junior Designer to join their studio. Theyre known for smart strategic thinking and beautifully crafted design work partnering with organisations across luxury travel hospitality finance infrastructure and pan-African brands. If youre early in your career and keen to learn from experienced creatives while building a portfolio of brand-led work this ones for you.
What the job involves
- Supporting the design team on branding and visual identity projects (with lots of guidance and feedback)
- Helping to roll out brand systems across real-world touchpoints (digital print presentations and more)
- Preparing artwork and files for delivery printing and production
- Applying brand guidelines accurately and consistently
- Building layouts with strong typography and attention to detail
- Iterating designs based on feedback from senior creatives
- Managing your time well and meeting deadlines (with support as you ramp up)
- Pitching in across the studio where needed to keep projects moving
What you need to be considered
- 02 year experience (internships freelance or junior studio experience all count)
- A relevant degree/diploma in graphic design (or similar)
- A portfolio is essential well be looking for brand identity thinking layout typography and design craft (no portfolio no response)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator InDesign Photoshop) on Mac
- A solid foundation in layout typography and basic brand systems
- High attention to detail and pride in getting things right
- A curious mindset willingness to learn and the ability to take feedback well
- Clear communication skills and a positive team-first attitude
Bonus points if you
- Have student/freelance work that includes logos brand systems guidelines or corporate design
- Enjoy presentation design and can make layouts feel polished and considered
- Are passionate about craft and aspire to produce award-worthy work over time
