Job Summary

  • Temporary Full Time Opportunity for 6 months with the possibility of extension
  • Location Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based in either the Port Stephens and Mosman offices
  • Clerk Grade 3/4 starting from $84659 plus super and leave loading

About the Role
Undertake activities to support the management of the NSW Research Angler Program by engaging the recreational fishing community coordinating fish frame collections and processing to gather vital biological data on key fish species in NSW.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong communication skills with experience liaising with internal and external researchers other government agencies and the recreational fishing community (attending club presentations and competitions as needed )to maintain a two-way flow of information while providing high level customer support
  • Experience with fish identification and processing to scientific standards to ensure data integrity
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Regional NSW as required
  • Capability in collecting compiling and managing information to support decision-making and information flow
  • Understanding of responding to enquiries escalating issues and providing accurate information
  • Knowledge of maintaining accurate records and databases in line with systems and compliance requirements
