Job Summary
- Lead and develop a high performing case management team within a large complex and highly regulated organisation
- Partner closely with senior leaders HR and IR to manage complex high-risk people matters and drive consistent outcomes across the Group

The Portfolio Manager Case Management will lead and coach a small team of case management professionals setting the standard for high quality consistent and compliant case management across a designated portfolio within the Qantas Group. This portfolio includes Jetstar QantasLink Engineering Freight Network Aviation and Qantas Ground Services (QGS). You will deliver expert advice on complex and sensitive people matters including misconduct investigations grievances performance management and whistleblower cases. This role will personally manage the highestrisk and most sensitive cases driving highquality consistent and compliant case management.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Case Management you will partner closely with senior leaders HR and IR to deliver balanced outcomes that appropriately manage risk while supporting employee wellbeing and operational requirements. Success in this role requires strong people leadership capability sound judgement and the ability to build team capability coach through complexity and sustain performance in a fast-paced environment.
What youll bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualification in Employment Law/Human Resources/related field
- Proven experience leading and developing teams in complex HR case management ER or employment law environments
- A strong coaching mindset with the ability to build capability and confidence in others
- Sound judgement and the ability to navigate sensitive matters with discretion and empathy
- Experience operating in large complex or highly regulated organisations
- Strong stakeholder influencing skills including at senior leadership level
- A detailed approach to decision making and continuous improvement
- Resilience and emotional intelligence when dealing with challenging situations
