We are a growing public accounting and advisory firm based in Cochrane Alberta that provides full-service accounting and bookkeeping support to small businesses and individuals across Alberta. Our team is known for its accuracy integrity and supportive collaborative work environment.
As we head into a busy season we are looking to add a Bookkeeper to support our accounting team. This role offers flexibility in hours and term length and may evolve into a longer-term or permanent position for the right person.
Position Overview
The Bookkeeper will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions during peak periods particularly throughout tax season. Working closely with the Office Manager and accounting team this position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented reliable and comfortable working in a professional services environment.
This role can be structured as part-time or full-time and seasonal or ongoing depending on availability workload and fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties including data entry and account reconciliation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client financial records
- Scan organize and file client documentation (digital and physical)
- Assist with preparing working papers and supporting documents for tax filings and financial statements
- Draft and prepare engagement letters and routine client correspondence
- Manage and maintain client records and internal databases
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the accounting team
- Answer phones respond to emails and interact professionally with clients as needed

- Professional positive attitude and willingness to learn
