Job Summary

TDC are seeking a Payroll Specialst who will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of end-to-end payroll services across the organisation. This role ensures compliance with relevant industrial instruments legislation and reporting obligations while supporting effective financial reporting and grant acquitals within a not-for-profit environment.

Key duties include:

  • Payroll operations end-to-end
  • Industrial and legislative compliance
  • Reporting and reconciliations
  • Statutory & End-of-year processing
  • Continuous improvement and support

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll role delivering end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Demonstrated experience using Employment Hero (or similar payroll systems).
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply Awards and industrial instruments.
  • Experience processing payday superannuation and managing statutory payroll obligations.
  • Experience with STP reporting including end-of-year finalisation.
  • Sound understanding of FBT and salary packaging ideally within a not-for-profit environment.
  • Experience preparing payroll journals cost allocations and class code tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience reporting on wages for grant reconciliations and acquittals.
  • High level of accuracy attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit or community services sector desirable
  • experience supporting payroll audits desirable.

  • Northern Territory Working with Children Check (Ochre Card)
