Our client is seeking a Back-End Developer (Senior).

This role is pivotal in providing cutting-edge IT solutions to global operations specifically focusing on complex production program planning and network capacity assessment within the Group IT Hub South Africa.

Important Application Details:

• Location & Relocation: Applicants based outside of Gauteng must be willing to relocate to ensure successful integration with the hybrid rotation model.

Product / Team Context: Planning the production program (Kammlinie) based on market demand plant and supplier capacities. Evaluation of potential production scenarios within network planning to create a restriction-compliant and demand-oriented production program.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant IT / Business degree.
• 5 years experience in relational databases (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL).
• 5 years experience in ETL (Oracle and/or Informatica and/or AWS Glue).
• 5 years BI experience plus 1 or 2 years in the Cloud environment.
• Experienced in designing developing and implementing complex solutions with integrations to other technologies.
• Proven experience working within an Agile environment for international/global companies.

Essential Skills:

• Oracle & ETL (Extract Transform and Load) Oracle v19 or later
• Data preparation for the Front-End Applications (e.g. SAP BO Webi QlikSense)
• Write SQL PL/SQL (packages stored procedures functions) and use Oracle Scheduler to automate ETL of
• source data for full and delta-loads to an Oracle persistence layer.
• AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Glue ETL data integration
• Elastic Cloud Computing (EC2)
• Aurora PostgreSQL fully managed relational database engine
• Terraform

Advantageous Skills:

• Understanding of other BI Tools
• AWS Quicksight
• AWS S3
• AWS Athena

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct with the feature team members system analysis design development and testing for their assigned technical products or applications within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model.
• Maintain and develop deploy and operate frontend and backend cross platform applications based on Java and other relevant Frameworks in accordance with the applicable standards and kpis.
• Manage application dependencies across the full stack from application to infrastructure.
• Implement robust automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives.
• Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines to maintain quality control and deployment agility.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols as well as required system documentation.
• Support operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge. Resolve escalated support topics as part of tier-2/3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of critical applications.
• Plan and execute upgrade of existing applications tools and features.
• Create solutions and solve problems using a cloud-native and on premises toolchain to ensure world-class uptime and business agility.
• Plan work-effort as part an agile team
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
