Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Senior MongoDB DBA (7 years) to provide 24x7 enterprise database administration and operational support for MongoDB environments across on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure & GCP). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance tuning troubleshooting database optimization and cloud database operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 24x7 production support for MongoDB databases with rotational shifts and on-call duties.
Administer monitor and maintain MongoDB databases across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure/GCP).
Implement and manage backup recovery disaster recovery (DR) high availability (HA) and performance tuning strategies.
Perform health checks identify performance bottlenecks and optimize queries indexes and configurations.
Manage database security access controls encryption and compliance standards.
Coordinate database patching upgrades migrations and deployments with minimal downtime.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support releases and troubleshoot database issues.
Perform incident management root cause analysis and maintain documentation of resolutions.
Automate operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.
Maintain documentation operational procedures and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
7 years of DBA experience with MongoDB in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of MongoDB architecture replication sharding clustering scaling and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure GCP).
Expertise in database performance tuning indexing strategies and query optimization.
Strong scripting skills (Python Shell IaC tools automation frameworks).
Experience with HA/DR replication backup/recovery failover and monitoring tools (Dynatrace Azure Monitor Nagios etc.).
Experience supporting database migrations upgrades and patching activities.
Knowledge of database security compliance auditing and access control.
Excellent troubleshooting analytical communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with MongoDB managed services or multi-cloud deployments.
Exposure to cloud database services on Azure or GCP.
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible Terraform PowerShell or Shell scripting.
Experience supporting enterprise database modernization or migration projects.

Required Skills and Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field. 7 years of hands-on experience as a DBA managing MongoDB database environments (including multi-model: SQL API Cassandra API MongoDB API etc.). In-depth knowledge of MongoDB DB architecture scaling global distribution partitioning consistency models and throughput management. Strong scripting and database troubleshooting skills. Proactively analyze and optimize database performancetuning queries indexes and configurations. Enforce security best practices including authentication access control data encryption and compliance monitoring for multi-cloud deployments. Experience with database monitoring tools - Dynatrace Azure Monitor Nagios etc and automation frameworks such as Ansible and Terraform . Solid understanding of database security best practices. Proven experience with patching upgrading and migrating databases. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operations setting. Ability to support DB audit requirements and license management. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
