Short Description
In coordination with the Director of Consumer Experience The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for interviewing/orientation assigning placements training and onboarding. Volunteer engagement to keep volunteers inspired and engaged rounding with volunteers in their assigned locations addressing volunteer needs proactive communication through Better Impact i.e.: birthday anniversary etc. Recognition programs including annual volunteer luncheon. Develop ongoing relationships with Cooper Leaders to ensure they are engaging their assigned volunteers for retention and volunteer Volunteer Engagement Survey Annually. Guiding facilitating and enabling the volunteers personal growth within our program. Maintains accurate records to provide timely updates and with the Director of Consumer Experience Volunteer Administrative Coordinator and the Volunteer Growth Coordinator to plan develop coordinate and execute a comprehensive program to engage and retain volunteers to support Cooper University Health Care programs and impact. Coordinates with the Volunteer Administrative Coordinator for scheduling new volunteers for interviewing onboarding and training. Escalate any issues that may impact the Volunteer department to appropriate department leadership keeping the Director coordination with the Director Volunteer Administrative Coordinator and Volunteer Growth Coordinator ensures that all departments are staffed with volunteers they have requested and that the resources are used effectively and smoothly. And maintains volunteer service descriptions for specific assignments and activities. Manage incoming communications in a timely manner. Gather feedback following volunteer shifts. Ensure safety protocols are both understood and followed by both volunteer program volunteers. Promote and communicate vision and goals of the volunteer program that are in line with the Coopers mission and goals. Photograph all volunteer events and sharing photos with respective areas and archiving accordingly. Perform other duties and responsibilities in carrying forward the mission of Cooper University Health
Experience Required
- 3-5 years experience required.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Bachelors Degree preferred
Special Requirements
- Previous experience in a volunteer office or volunteer program.
- Experience with volunteer or employee engagement programs
- Hospital experience a plus
