Install configure troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software and administer system accounts. Administer and maintain infrastructure toolset and flyaway kits and consult on network systems and application issues to support infrastructure and toolset security and availability. Support operational test requirements tailored to each test event in a timely manner and support troubleshooting during test events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain the physical and logical security of all network infrastructure and protect the integrity of the residing data.
- Manage the functionality and proficiency of multiple computers running on one or more operating system platforms.
- Manage backup and recovery solutions and procedures in accordance with applicable DoD/DON policies and guidance.
- Support development of standard operating procedures related to the use of computing resources.
- Implement STIGs patches and updates for operating systems and applications on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware peripherals services settings directories storage accordance with standards and project/operational requirements and to support IT infrastructure applications or asset management applications.
- Develop and maintain the master image for the cyber OT&E toolset in accordance with customer requirements; clone master image and validate toolset build per operational requirements in a timely manner.
- Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Perform backup operations and system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware network and server resources systems and key processes reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions perform regular file archival and purge as necessary and create change and delete user accounts as required.
- Configure / add new services as necessary and upgrade and configure system software that supports IT infrastructure applications or asset management applications per project or operational needs.
- Review ACAS/Tenable security scan results and remediate vulnerabilities as required.
- Maintain network/system security posture.
- Support ongoing Cyber OT&E infrastructure status and systems administration activities ISO current and future operations providing updates as needed to inform mission readiness and planning.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and methods (e.g. firewalls demilitarized zones encryption).
- Knowledge of measures or indicators of system performance and availability.
- Knowledge of performance tuning tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management.
- Knowledge of performance tuning tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of network access identity and access management (e.g. PKI).
- Knowledge of network protocols such as Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) / Internet Protocol (IP) Dynamic Host Configuration Domain Name System (DNS) and directory services.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for integrating system components.
- Skill in correcting physical and technical problems that impact system/server performance.
- Skill in monitoring and optimizing system/server performance.
- Skill in recovering failed systems/servers.
- Skill in operating system administration.
- Knowledge of server and client operating systems.
- Knowledge of system/server diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques.
- Knowledge of enterprise IT architecture.

- Design group policies and access control lists to ensure compatibility with organizational standards business rules and needs.
- Knowledge of basic system administration network and operating system hardening techniques.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- TS/SCI clearance
- Minimum 5 years experience managing Windows and Active Directory environments encompassing tasks such as installation configuration maintenance and support of computer systems and servers.
